Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Goldendoodle?

A Goldendoodle is a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. We breed the following generations, F1, F1b, F1bb, and multigenerational.

How big will my puppy get?

Our mini goldendoodles range from 15-30 pounds depending on the parents. We also breed medium goldendoodles and they typically are around 30-45 pounds.

Do your puppies shed?

F1 Goldendoodles do sometimes shed their entire lives. Our F1b, F1bb, and multigenerational goldednoodles do not shed.

Note: Puppies will shed their puppy coat.

How are puppies socialized?

Before your new pup goes home, he/she will be exposed to common household noises (laundry machine, vacuum, etc), different people (kids and adults), multiple floor textures, a variety of toys, handled daily and groomed, and started on potty training.

How can I reserve a puppy?

Start by filling out an application. Once approved, you may place a deposit on any available puppy or upcoming puppy.

When can I bring my new puppy home?

Puppies are ready to go home at 8 weeks of age. This ensures that your pup receives his/her first 5-way vaccine prior to going home.

Are the puppies registerable?

Yes. You can register your new pup with the Continental Kennel Club (CKC) using the form provided in your take-home folder.

What are the grooming requirements?

Goldendoodles need daily grooming. You should expect to take your pup to a professional groomer every six to eight weeks.

Are the puppies wormed and vaccinated before going home?

Yes. Puppies are wormed at 2, 4, and 6 weeks, and just prior to going home. Puppies are vaccinated against parvo at 6 weeks and given their first 5-way vaccination at 8 weeks. Your pup should receive an additional 5-way at 11 weeks and 14 weeks.

Are the puppies examined by a vet?

Yes. All pups are examined by a vet and must be declared healthy before being sent home. You will receive documentation from our vet stating that your puppy has been seen and is healthy.

Do you provide a health guarantee and a contract?

Yes. The Health Guarantee covers the puppy for the first 1-2 years of life against fatal and life altering congenital and genetic defects. To keep your puppy's health guarantee in good standing he or she must go to the vet for a well check within 72 hours of going home.

Yes. Puppies can be shipped. The cost to ship is an additional $450.00-500.00. The contract must be signed and the final payment including shipping must be paid 10 days prior to shipping.

If I find I cannot keep my dog, will you take him/her back?

Our dogs are always welcome to come home. If at any point you are in a situation where you cannot keep your pup, we would prefer that you return it to us. We will not ask any questions or judge or shame you, we simply don't want our dogs to be re-homed to strangers with ill intentions or to end up in a shelter. Many times we have a waiting list for puppies and/or we know people who would be interested in adopting an older puppy or dog. We understand life happens and sometimes circumstances cannot be helped. We get it! You do not have to explain your situation to us and we will not judge you! We just want the best for our dogs and we will gladly take them back or help with finding a new home if you are no longer able to keep them.

Note: To protect the health of our other dogs and puppies and to cover our legal bases, if a dog is to be returned to us we will require a certificate of health from a veterinarian.
